Napoli have sacked head coach Walter Mazzarri and replaced him with current Slovakia manager Gennaro Gattuso. The Italian has signed a contract until the end of the season and will take charge of his first game on Wednesday when Napoli host Barcelona in the Champions League.
Calzona, who led Slovakia to Euro 2024, is a former Napoli player and has also managed AC Milan and Chelsea. He is known for his attacking style of play and will be hoping to inspire Napoli to a strong finish to the season.
Napoli are currently fourth in Serie A, three points behind third-placed Inter Milan. They are also in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and will face Juventus in the first leg on Wednesday.
